Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026 · Effective: April 27, 2026

1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Devesh Varshney (sole proprietor of TruePrice) uses cookies and similar technologies (browser local storage, session storage, pixels, beacons, and SDKs) on trueprice.pro (the “Platform”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser so it can recognise your device on subsequent visits. Local storage is a browser-side key-value store used for similar purposes. Pixels, beacons, and SDKs are third-party snippets that report events back to a vendor for analytics or advertising.

3. Categories We Use

3.1 Strictly necessary

These are required for the Platform to function. They cannot be switched off because without them the Platform cannot authenticate you, secure your session, or process payments.

  • Authentication session token (tp-auth): stored in browser local storage; identifies you for the duration of your session; sliding-window expiry, can be revoked by signing out.
  • Firebase Authentication cookies / IndexedDB: set by Google Firebase Authentication if you sign in with Google, email/password, or email-link. Maintained by Firebase to keep your sign-in state.
  • CSRF / security tokens: protect against cross-site request forgery and similar attacks.
  • Preference cookies: remember choices such as theme, currency / unit format, and last-used filters.

3.2 Analytics & performance (consent-gated)

We may deploy analytics technologies to understand which pages and features are used, identify bugs, and improve the Platform. Where we do, we will request your consent through a cookie banner before loading these scripts, and we will honour your withdrawal of consent at any time. Examples we may use:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — aggregated usage analytics
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM) — tag-loading container
  • Backend telemetry (HyperDX via OpenTelemetry): server-side traces, metrics, and structured logs (no cookies are set on your browser by HyperDX).

3.3 Advertising & conversion (consent-gated)

We may deploy advertising technologies to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and to show TruePrice ads on third-party platforms. These are consent-gated and disabled by default. Examples we may use:

  • Meta Pixel (operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.) — conversion measurement and audience building on Facebook / Instagram
  • Google Ads conversion tracking (operated by Google LLC) — conversion measurement on Google Ads
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag (operated by LinkedIn Corporation), should we choose to advertise on LinkedIn.

None of these vendors are loaded until you give consent through the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time from the cookie preferences link in the Platform footer (or by clearing the consent cookie in your browser).

4. How To Manage Cookies

You can manage cookies through:

  • The cookie consent banner on the Platform (when shown), where you can grant or withdraw consent for each non-essential category.
  • Your browser settings — most browsers let you block, delete, or get notified about cookies. Disabling strictly-necessary cookies will break authentication and prevent the Platform from functioning.
  • Vendor opt-outs for advertising technologies, for example via Google Ads Settings and via Meta's Ad Preferences.

5. Do-Not-Track

Different browsers send the Do-Not-Track signal in inconsistent ways. We rely on our explicit consent banner rather than DNT to determine whether to load non-essential cookies.

6. Updates To This Policy

We will update this Policy when we add, remove, or change any cookie or similar technology. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
